AS01 (Mosquirix), also known as RTS,S, is the world’s first malaria vaccine. It was developed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in partnership with the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative and has been endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is specifically designed to combat Plasmodium falciparum, the most deadly malaria parasite globally.
